La Fila’s Cuisine
The restaurant, which overlooks one of the most beautiful squares in Turin, boasts a very long history. Born in 1890 as a rotisserie, where the Turinese got in line to buy the mixed fried bags famous throughout the city; in the 1960s it developed into a restaurant. Since 1977, La Fila has been operated by the Saba family, who carry on the great gastronomic tradition of this locale by offering Mediterranean cuisine, which is much appreciated by the Turinese, and by the many tourists who visit the city. In fact, the restaurant is located in one of the most touristic areas of Turin, close to the Carignano Theatre, Palazzo Carignano, and the Egyptian Museum. If you want to eat delicious pizza in Turin, La Fila will surprise you. The pizza dough is left to rise for 24 to 36 hours, and cooking is done in a wood oven, according to tradition. A Family Tradition
La Fila pizza restaurant has been operated by the Saba family since 1977. Today, Andrea and Paolo, who inherited the passion for cuisine from their parents Salvatore and Giuseppina, carry on the family tradition. Together with them, there is a close-knit and courteous staff who are ready to welcome and appease the needs of the guests of La Fila.
